The aim of skills program one is to train the operator in more advance workshop skills to drill, Tap, File and more accurate measurement. The operator will learn about drills, Tap, Dies and will also be introduced to the Micrometer. The following modules will be covered in Skills Program:

• Introduction to Basic Electricity

• Use and Care for Basic Power Tools safely.

• Use and Care for Basic Hand Tools

• Use and Care for Workshop Machines

• Use and Care for Measuring Tools

 

The aim of Skills program two is to equip the operator with more advance engineering skills on different drives pumps and valves. This will place the operator in a much better position to assist the artisan with major breakdowns and maintenance of machines. The different drives will include the stripping, assembling and alignment of V-Belt, Chain Drive, and Couplings. Will also strip and assemble a small centrifugal pump and conveyor belt drive.

The modules that will be covered in this Skills Program are:

• Drives

• Bearing Maintenance

• Conveyor Maintenance

• Mechanical Couplings

• Pumps and Valves

At the end the operator will produce a valuable work piece

 

The aim of skills program three is to equip the operator further in basic understanding of Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Seals, Gaskets and Packing. The operator will know and understand the functions and names of different Hydraulic and Pneumatic valves used on the machines and certain Hydraulic machinery like a forklift.

The following modules will be covered in skills program three:

• Basic Hydraulics

• Basic Pneumatics

• Gaskets and Seals

• Fit Packing

• Strip and Assemble a Gearbox cover and Gaskets

• Basic Hand Tools

At the end the operator will produce a valuable work piece

GAP ANALYSIS

A two-day Gap Analysis is available to detect what training an operator needs in order to be competent in a specific field or trade. A report will be submitted to the employer with recommendations on the gaps that have been identified.

 

LIFT-OPERATOR TRAINING

Training programmes for our lift-operating equipment are all fully accredited by TETA and the training is offered to both novice operators and for re-licensing of operators as per the Code of Practice.
